I have never done a blog before and now I find myself changing the layouts and fonts, adding pictures, moving text, adding pages! The possibilities are endless, you can personalise it so much!

I agree it is distracting. I've made my page up and it's going to stay that way! It is a downside of the variety of technologies that we have at our fingertips, on pages like this do we really want our students to be distracted by all the pretty things that they have on their page? Especially if they are doing it in time alloted for blogging in relation to classroom topics or assignments just like ours.....
